NIMS-PrOptima™ Solution Design and Delivery

NIMS-PrOptima™ software products based performance management solutions offer an integrated, multi-vendor, end-to-end umbrella system ranging from radio access, transmission, core to VAS platforms.

MYCOM's professional services portfolio is based on a modular strategy which encapsulates specific service deliverables for solution design and delivery, ranging from system audit, software deployment, configuration and integration, system launch, as well as training and learning. This allows for the selection of required building blocks defining the services for the solution introduction.

The solution delivery lifecycle follows a specialised methodology based on a sequence of phases from solution design, specification, implementation, acceptance, solution launch, and handover to Support and Change Management. All evolutionary system changes follow a change management process to ensure successful delivery and implementation of the NIMS-PrOptima™ application suite updates.

The design and specification phase details the complete solution scope and system integration requirements including all north-and southbound interfacing within the Element Management Systems and other OSS components. The solution design and specification captures all software component and system backup requirements, data warehousing, KPI and reporting definitions, and specific hardware and LAN/WAN interconnectivity requirements.

Implementation and acceptance of the solution are driven by a roll-out process and schedule which are aligned to the operator's software introduction requirements. The mapping of MYCOM's delivery processes to the operator working process form part of the overall delivery strategy.

Evolution of Existing Solutions

Based on the modular nature of MYCOM's services delivery an easy and transparent platform for solution upgrades and changes is available. Adding of new software components such as optional analysis modules and new Vendor Technology Interface plug-ins are pre-defined services packages. Additional system configuration and integration packages are available ranging from KPI formula and report definition and implementation, server and application self-monitoring framework implementation, including full optional analysis module integration with other OSS systems such as Fault management and Inventory management applications.

Performance Management Capability Transformation

MYCOM's professional services organisation is specialised in undertaking solution deliveries in the context of harmonizing and centralizing an Operators diverse and segmented performance management platform containing a mixture of in-house and domain-specific commercial solutions. Performance Management umbrella systems overcome cost and overhead challenges associated with domain specific data warehouses and localized data pools, IT infrastructure and staff training inefficiencies.

Training and Learning

MYCOM NIMS-PrOptima™ Product Training is modularised to provide an easy to identify and easy to assign curriculum path for different types of users. The Base User Training enables users to understand the application and to conduct minimal statistical analysis and reporting. All NIMS-PrOptima™ users shall enrol to the Base User Training before other training modules can be attended in order to ensure maximum benefit from the curriculum.

Optional Module Training courses can be ordered individually or in conjunction with the Base User Training to form a packaged course set.

The English language will be used to deliver all training courses. The Training documentation as well as all software user documentation is provided in English. All courses are instructor-led and thus delivered by a MYCOM Certified Trainer.
