These skill sets enable MYCOM to provide a cost effective end to end network service.  MYCOM ensures best-in-class network rollouts on schedule by minimizing the oversight required normally from a customer when utilizing multiple vendors for a project. 

This end to end service provides accountability for delivery which improves overall project performance.

Radio Network Design

MYCOM has a proven track record of providing radio network design services throughout the world. MYCOM provides these services for various technologies including but not limited to WCDMA (3G), CDMA2000 (1XRTT, 3XRTT), GSM, GPRS, EDGE, TDMA, IDEN, and GSM-R. MYCOM also has extensive experience working with various vendor equipment types across many different countries and regions. These successes include the design of over 3,000 sites, optimization of over 2,500 sites, and the performance auditing of over 3,500 sites.

Utilizing the latest software modeling combined with strict testing and data gathering processes MYCOM ensures that operators are provided with the information necessary to implement changes in the network that will allow them to be “best in class”.

RSS Telecom Implementation (TI) is Mycom’s most fundamental professional services offering. TI typically entails the supply of traditional base station installation and commissioning services, transport (T-1, ATM, Fiber, Microwave) installation and test, as well as integration of the elements into the network.

At the core of Mycom’s RSS professional services offerings are:

  • Pre-installation site readiness survey
  • Equipment engineering
  • Bill of Material (BOM) creation
  • Pick up equipment and deliver to site
  • Equipment installation
  • Equipment commissioning
  • Equipment integration
  • Quality inspections
  • HW upgrades (simple and complex configurations)

Regardless of the service(s) requested, Mycom’s RSS implementation teams will ensure that the deliveries of all performed services are defect free and in accordance with customer specifications. Mycom complements all professional services with:

  • Training and development (including records) of our implementation teams

At MYCOM we believe that properly managing the wireless project(s) is the key to the success of a carrier's network growth and evolution. Because successful implementation is the key, MYCOM utilizes the PMI model for project management and adheres to the best practices laid out in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). MYCOM project managers are trained and, in most cases, hold the PMP certification given by the Project Management Institute.

By employing trained project managers, normally with over 10 years in wireless implementation, MYCOM is able to manage and deliver projects not only on time and on budget, but also a accomplishes the true goal of the project.  MYCOM understand why the projects are needed and the best ways to deliver.

MYCOM can deliver these services as part of a overall turnkey project or as a standalone service managing the customers resources or a third party vendor to the customer.

The two major areas of service that the NSS group provides are Engineering/Planning Services and NSS Telecom Implementation Services. These are further described below.
Engineering/Planning Services:

This service covers the initial planning and engineering of wireless telecom systems and includes services as follows:

  • Core network design
  • Network element dimensioning
  • Datafill creation
  • Datafill validation

NSS Telecom Implementation:

Telecom Implementation (TI) is the complete installation of core elements, commissioning of all network elements into the core, and integration of all network elements into a fully operational core. This service can provide any or all of the functions listed below. Installation includes the complete installation of the engineered network elements to the applicable vendor standards and will be audited upon completion. Commissioning ensures that all components of the network elements are fully functional as described by vendor specifications including spares management. Integration ensures all elements are functioning properly as a network as designed by the operator. The TI may also include the engineering and planning functions as described in the previous section.

Professional Services

Professional services include “in-service” activities such as hardware upgrades, software upgrades, and extensions of in-service offices. MYCOM can also help clients by performing the maintenance and operations function, including growth or reconfiguration services on site or remotely. At a minimum the following services are available:
