LONDON, UK - 8 Oct 2008 - MYCOM, a leading global provider of best-in-class OSS Service Assurance software solutions and innovative engineering services to the telecoms industry, today announced that it has successfully delivered its multi-vendor, multi-technology Network Performance Management solution for CDMA technology.

The solution, based on MYCOM's best-in-class NIMS-PrOptima™ platform, allows the operator to collect, and correlate performance and configuration data from the CDMA access and core network. It provides near-real time performance reporting and analysis as well as longer term trending and planning capabilities. .

"We are glad that our CDMA product's superior capabilities continue to benefit operators" commented Mounir Ladki, General Manager, Product Business Unit.  He went on to say that "this allows the operators to gain quick visibility and optimise the performance of their CDMA networks thus maximizing their ROI. In addition, our platform will enable them to monitor and optimise the end-to-end service performance delivered across the CDMA access as well as the other domains and technologies they operate. This will result in improved customer experience and minimised costs".

This successful CDMA deployment re-emphasises the opportunities for further deployments in highly subscribed CDMA markets.  Of the 463 million CDMA subscribers (source: CDMA Development Group, June 2008) North America accounts for 31.1%, Caribbean & Latin America 12.0% whilst the Asia Pacific region accounts for over half of the subscriber base at 51.9%. MYCOM's geographic spread coupled with an already successful network engineering business places the organisation in an advantageous position to capitalise on the numerous market opportunities.

MYCOM Awarded for Fault Management Product Solution

NICE, France - 21 May 2008 - MYCOM, a leading global provider of best-in-class OSS Service Assurance software solutions and innovative engineering services to the telecoms industry, today announced that they have met the TeleManagement Forum's 'Community Member' qualifications to be recognised as only one of 30 TM Forum Member companies, Service Providers, Software Vendors and Systems Integrators, who have qualified for the Nice 2008 program recognising contribution to the Prosspero ecosystem.

MYCOM in collaboration with the TM Forum Prosspero organisation demonstrated its product architecture flexibility and readiness for adoption of standard frameworks such as OSS/J by demonstrating its compliance to OSS/J API.

Since the launch of Prosspero the initiative has gone from strength to strength.  In order to illuminate the contributions and successes of TM Forum member companies using Prosspero products, the TM Forum launched their Prosspero Recognition Program at Management World in Nice in May 2008.

TM Forum Member companies were recognized for implementing one or more Prosspero-approved solutions, or for visibly contributing to the Prosspero community. The Recognition Program comprises four categories: Prosspero 'Adopter' targeted at Service Providers; Prosspero 'Vendor'; Prosspero 'Systems Integrator' and Prosspero 'Community Member'.

In 2006 the TM Forum launched Prosspero, an initiative to address and solve the problem of slow uptake of paper-based standards by delivering the development community with open-source code based standards complete with a full support ecosystem to enable rapid implementations.  It set out to provide developers with the "peace of mind" of knowing that Prosspero solutions are fully working; have full development back-up and have already been successfully deployed.

Through Prosspero, TM Forum and OSS/J standards with a proven track record of successful implementation are "packaged" with a range of supporting components. These include everything an implementer needs to deliver interoperability on their target OSS or BSS system including: open source code, testing frameworks, guidebooks, online developer support; access to reference implementations plus educational, marketing, and developers' tools;.

At the launch in May 2006, Keith Willetts, Chairman of the TeleManagement Forum said "The pressure to automate the back offices of fixed and mobile operators means that we have to have a much faster approach to get standards based systems into the marketplace.  Prosspero slashes the time and cost of implementation because it delivers everything a developer needs. No more interpreting paper standards and building from scratch; Prosspero is a complete implementer's toolkit. Put simply, Prosspero gives the industry the means to move to mass-market standards - the OSS/BSS equivalent of the 'USB port'."

Industry Leaders Debate and Predict the Evolution of Telecom Consumer

Needs and Technology Trends

ROME, Italy – 24 April 2008 – MYCOM, a leading global provider of best-in-class OSS Service Assurance software solutions and innovative engineering services to the telecoms industry, today took a leading role in the Next Generation Telecoms EMEA Summit in Fiuggi Fonte, Italy.

As part of a delegation of senior executives from European telecom operators and vendors, MYCOM's Mounir Ladki (General Manager, Product Business Unit) and Dr. Payam Taaghol (Managing Director EMEA), solely represented the Service Assurance segment of the OSS market.

Mounir Ladki sat on a panel of distinguished delegates which included Stephan Scolz (CTO, Nokia Siemens Networks), Chris Lewis (SVP Telecoms Research, Ovum), Hossein Moiin (Group VP Business Strategy, TMobile), Ed Candy (CTO, Hutchison 3G), Fortis Karonis (CTO, Romtelecom) and Nicolas Ruelle (Head of OSS, France Telecom). The panel debated and addressed the key issues facing the telecoms industry.

Mounir explained that the discussions were invaluable and offered key insights into the converging market. “Over the next 10 years data traffic is expected to increase by a factor of 100 because of social networking, video/TV and hyper-connectivity, but revenues are expected remain flat. At the same time there is a risk of cannibalization of the business by new entrants such as cable operators and content providers like Google and Yahoo. Telecom operators will be forced to differentiate their service offerings and find ways to massively increase their efficiency/productivity whilst reducing their costs. This is why convergence is happening. Operators are forced to un-bundle and flatten their networks and systems, turning them from ‘silos' and ‘spaghettis' into a nicely converged ‘lasagne' where the connectivity layer is clearly separate and independent from the services layer. The migration effort could take somewhere between 3 to 5 years to finish, and will then continue as an on-going process”.

“Operators must enable the ‘My Services Anywhere, Anytime' concept and offer the same bundle of services at home over DSL or FTTH and then on the move via mobile broadband networks. They must carry this over converged core IP networks to reduce cost and offer more services. Although the full adoption of IP common core is a no-brainer, IMS appears to be a much more controversial topic. The majority of the operators are struggling to understand the business benefits brought by this architecture”.

“The adoption of common standards as a way to reduce cost is also essential. The European operators seem mostly aligned to the LTE standard, but are strongly opposed to multiplication of implementation flavours. MYCOM's vision of a next generation OSS Service Assurance will enable the fulfilment of these objectives.
