12 February 08 Following the successful interoperability project between Huawei's iManager M2000 (mobile network element management system) and MYCOM's NIMS-PrOptima™ performance management system, MYCOM announced today that it has now developed and deployed a Vendor Technology Interface for its software to manage the performance of an extensive Huawei 3G UTRAN network at a Tier 1 European mobile operator.

The interface allows the operator to collect performance and configuration data from the Huawei UTRAN radio and transmission network and then evaluate and optimise the performance of the network components using MYCOM's NIMS-PrOptima™ system.

The Huawei network extends to some 5000 cell sites across the country with NIMS-PrOptima™ managing performance and configuration data from three Huawei M2000 element managers located in different parts of the country.

Mounir LADKI, General Manager of MYCOM's OSS Products Business Unit said: "We are seeing a growing momentum for Huawei's 3G infrastructure systems globally and especially in Western Europe. We are delighted that the fruits of our on-going collaboration are enabling our customers to effectively manage and optimize the performance of their Huawei networks and to guarantee the best level of service to their subscribers"

Huawei and MYCOM continue to cooperate in the pre-integration of networks and service management solutions in support of mobile operator globally.

Leading service assurance and performance management solution now supports live HSDPA networks

UK: 3 May 2006 - MYCOM International, a global provider of leading-edge OSS software solutions and engineering services to the telecoms industry, has announced that its next-generation, state-of-the-art, multi-vendor, multi-technology performance management solution, NIMS-PrOptima, is now supporting live HSDPA networks.

Over the last 12 months, NIMS-PrOptima has been successfully deployed and/or upgraded on some of the world’s largest and most advanced wireless networks supporting the introduction of HSDPA technology. The solution is now supporting several live HSDPA networks supplied by, amongst other vendors, Ericsson, Nokia, Nortel and Siemens.

NIMS-PrOptima provides intelligent correlation of HSDPA end-to-end performance indicators with configuration parameters and RF measurements that enables the operator to optimise end-user quality and get the most out of this advanced technology. This results in greatly improved end-user experiences for services such as mobile office, video over IP or music downloads.

“Our best-in-class OSS solution combined with our expertise in technology allows our customers to gain quick visibility of their HSDPA technology and associated services. It also ensures quality and timeliness during the critical introduction of these important revenue generating services into the marketplace. This gives clients significant competitive edge while minimising their costs,” commented Mounir Ladki, general manager of the OSS Products Business Unit at MYCOM International.

MYCOM’s NIMS-PrOptima™ includes powerful processing capabilities, a friendly and intuitive GUI and open interfaces. A layer of intelligence helps the operator to analyse the network and services performance on a near real-time basis, allowing network problems to be identified and corrected before impacting service levels. Further significant value is delivered by NIMS-PrOptima™ - enabling the operator to take an unprecedented end-to-end view which is essential to the effective engineering and optimisation of all network domains and service platforms.

Based on open industry standards, NIMS-PrOptima™ is highly versatile, supporting both PC and UNIX platforms. Unlike other legacy solutions, the architecture has been designed to be scalable and functionally evolvable with wireless networks.
